This role ensures our systems are secure, scalable, reliable, and well-documented to support a growing, highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment.**Essential Job Functions*** Own and advance our identity platform, including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, and hybrid identity solutions.* Design, implement, and manage modern endpoint management using Intune and Autopilot, including application deployment, configuration, automation, and patching.* Configure and maintain enterprise applications using Entra ID, SAML SSO, and SCIM provisioning to deliver secure, frictionless access.* Monitor, maintain, and optimize Windows servers, including routine security patching and performance tuning.* Implement and continuously improve security best practices, conduct regular audits, and remediate vulnerabilities across systems and endpoints.* Lead or contribute to complex technical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within scope.* Identify operational issues, propose solutions, and drive implementation to improve reliability and user experience.* Manage and resolve advanced incidents and requests, including ownership of high-complexity tickets and appropriate escalation to senior leadership when needed.* Create and maintain clear documentation for system configurations, standards, and procedures, including content needed for risk assessments and validation activities.* Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches to system administration and infrastructure management.**Skills and Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.* Minimum three years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.* Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure services; relevant certifications are a plus.* Deep understanding of identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, SSO).* Proven ability to manage Intune-based endpoint management and Autopilot provisioning.* Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a track record of structured problem solving.* Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical topics into actionable insights.* Experience identifying, assessing, and managing risk across applications and systems in alignment with security and compliance standards.* Scripting skills in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, KQL, or similar languages.* Experience using Copilot, PowerPlatform or other AI tools to automate or enhance IT workflows.* Demonstrated curiosity and a mindset oriented towards innovation and continuous improvement.* Core Competencies: Interpersonal skills, effective communication, independent judgment, ownership mindset, teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, project management, ability to drive work to completion, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, high attention to detail and strong adaptability in a fast-changing environment.**Working Conditions*** Hybrid role based in the Chicago office; minimum of three days per week on site (subject to change at management’s discretion).* May require occasional evening or weekend work and periodic overnight travel as business needs dictate.*The anticipated base salary range for this position is $112,000 to $140,000.*#LI-HYBRID *Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
