Utilize assessment findings in a timely manner to establish patient and family needs in collaboration with the health care team. Communicate findings in both verbal and written format. Seek personal / professional development; assure safe operation of life support equipment and perform other duties as required. Take a leadership role as assigned, act as a clinical resource to other departments. May precept staff after displaying proficiency. Participate in hospital / departmental committees, special projects, and research**Key Responsibilities:*** Ventilator management, high frequency ventilation, tracheostomy tube management, bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, sedation, blood gas and indirect calorimetry.* Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through discharge, and charts appropriately* Serves as a resource and provides education to students, nurses, and new employees as needed* Assures safe, cost-effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas**Required Qualifications:*** CA RT Licensure* BLS* PALS (within 6 months of hire)**Preferred Qualifications:*** 2 years pediatric experience* National Registration by National Board for Respiratory CareThe pay range for this position is $58.75 - 82.94/hour.Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
