Key Position Details 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two‑week pay period) 8‑hour day/evening shifts Every 4th weekend Acute care position (90–95%) with potential outpatient (5–10%) Job Description Provide quality physical therapy care to patients as requested on physician referrals. Assess patients, gather data, select tests and measures, and make clinical judgments to generate accurate therapy diagnoses. Predict optimal level of improvement and time required, and modify goals based on re‑examination results. Involve patients and families in establishing treatment goals. Design, implement, and modify therapeutic interventions. Coordinate, communicate, document, and bill per program, regulatory, and professional standards. Accommodate patient age or clinical condition when selecting tests and interventions. Make referrals to other practitioners as appropriate. Select and delegate appropriate tasks of the plan of care per professional guidelines. Supervise the therapeutic program and maintain oversight of the plan of care. Promote rehabilitation services by ensuring patient and physician satisfaction. Participate in performance improvement and process improvement activities for the department. Support and promote new services as requested and provide input to enhance departmental services. Assist co‑workers in managing team productivity/performance targets. Manage daily patient schedule and assist in maintaining efficient clinic flow. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. 0 to 2 years of experience in the practice or program area. Licensed Physical Therapist – MN State Board of Physical Therapy (required if providing services in Minnesota). Licensed Physical Therapist – WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services (required if providing services in Wisconsin). Must meet at least one of the following BLS certifications: Current BLS from the American Heart Association; Current BLS from the American Red Cross; Allina in‑house BLS training (within 30 days). Valid Driver’s License required upon hire; MN and WI residents must obtain a valid license within 60 days if providing services for Home Care and Hospice. Physical Demands Medium work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs frequently. Pay Range $38.52 to $52.80 per hour, based on experience, education, union agreement, and possible shift or work differentials.
