Overview Sterling Heights, Michigan | IT Operations Support Specialist #1058770 Responsibilities This is an Information Technology Operations based role that supports the Sterling Axle Plant which builds the axles used in Ford/Lincoln products such as F-150, Explorer, Bronco, Expedition, Navigator, Aviator, Nautilus and other models. Be a member of the Site IT team and assist in reimagining how site IT lends support to the manufacturing team during plant modernization to reduce complexity and increase efficiency. Maintain the systems that keep plant lines running. Provide support including technical troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem resolution for the applications and infrastructure used to produce axles for Ford/Lincoln vehicles globally. Support process improvement efforts toward flexible and lean manufacturing, enabling IIoT for manufacturing and supporting the existing manufacturing execution systems within the facility. Grow IT skillset while acquiring manufacturing experience to enhance long-term career potential. Skills Required IT Operations Operations Support Systems Technical Troubleshooting IT Support Technical Customer Support Technical Support Experience Required Experience with Server administration; Windows (2016+) and/or Linux Familiar with Cisco routers and switches including basic staging, troubleshooting and cable installation Willing to learn Cisco software-defined architecture (SDA) troubleshooting and implementation Knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Active Directory/ADFS Experience with VM servers (vSphere) Experience with Android and iOS devices (phones/tablets) Experience with Office 365 Experience with SharePoint Experience with Office automation, Windows PCs & printers Experience with handheld scanners and imagers Any plant floor automation experience (control systems, PLCs, etc.) is highly desired but not required PowerShell scripting is desired but not required Education Education Required: High School Diploma / GED Education Preferred: Bachelor\'s Degree Additional Information Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant and be able to work on site with flexible hours, including weekends when necessary Provide technical support (IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, end-user productivity tools) to plant business customers throughout the manufacturing plant Interface with corporate IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts Support Plant Floor Systems / Corporate teams in resolving incidents; provide triage and execute business continuity plans, support escalations, and assist global teams as needed Focus on the integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware Assist site IT manager with managing assignments and workload Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation Support local network equipment in a Cisco-based environment Support local servers across both physical and virtual environments in Windows and Linux based ecosystems Support Factory of Tomorrow deployments and expansion efforts utilizing IIoT, iOS, software-defined networking, mobile, and Android-based equipment #J-18808-Ljbffr FastTek Global
