Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for a Friday–Sunday day shift position at an acute care hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC, requiring at least 1 year of Level I trauma experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Work in a Radiology/CT Scan department on the main campus of a 400-bed acute care hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC
• Facility is a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Performs ED and inpatient CT exams only, following a compassionate care model
• Average of 180 CT exams per day across 3 scanners
• Staffing ratio of 2 techs per scanner during the day and 3 techs total overnight
• Equipment includes GE 512, GE 128, and GE 32-slice CT scanners
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Schedule is Friday–Sunday, 12-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience, with at least 1 year in a Level I trauma setting
• Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the CT Tech role
• ARRT (Radiography) required; ARRT (CT) preferred
• Ability to independently operate GE CT equipment
• Proficiency performing routine CT exams for ED and inpatient populations including trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and CTA
• Active license required, if applicable
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted
• Professional references required (2 references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri; 1 reference required for all other states)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
