Primary Purpose:

Research, design and develop cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) human-centered solutions working with interdisciplinary team to shape AI strategy, literacy, and deployment focusing on LLM training, fine-tuning, machine/deep learning, customization and evaluation.

 

Job Category:  Non-Exempt

Hiring Range:  Commensurate with experience

Pay Basis: Hourly

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Research, build, train, and deploy machine learning models, algorithms and LLM applications
2. Design custom workflows (RAG pipelines)
3. Test and evaluate model quality using benchmarks, guardrails, and human feedback to prevent system drift
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to create and integrate human-centered AI-driven solutions.
5. Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies.
6. Conduct experiments and analyze results to improve AI models.
7. Stay updated with the latest research and trends in AI and machine learning.
8. Contribute to the design and architecture of AI systems.
9. Optimize AI models for performance and scalability.
10. Prepare technical reports and presentations on research findings.
11. Stay ahead of industry trends and new technologies in AI development to propose innovative solutions

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
2. Experience with AI/machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch or Hugging Face
3. Knowledge of data analysis and statistical modeling.
4. Experience with deep learning techniques, NLP (Natural Language Processing), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required Certifications/Licensures:

Required Education:  Bachelor's Degree

Major (if required:  Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Experience:  Up to two (2) years of relevant experience required. Experience in artificial intelligence (AI) research, development, or related technologies is preferred.
