With a strong understanding of thermal analysis principles and basic vehicle-level analysis, you will support the design and development of thermal systems within a collaborative team environment. You will work under general supervision, contributing to technical projects and ensuring the application of aerospace principles and standards.In this role, you will conduct detailed thermal analysis and support the development of thermal systems for aerospace applications, leveraging your strong understanding of thermal analysis. You will apply basic use and application of aerospace principles, standards, theories, first-order analysis, and concepts to contribute to engineering projects. Conducting vehicle-level analysis and system design, you will ensure the integration of thermal systems within broader aerospace projects. Additionally, you will develop, prepare, and document technical data, reports, and presentations to support engineering initiatives and facilitate project decision-making processes. Working under general supervision, you will follow established procedures and guidelines while contributing to technical problem-solving and ensuring project success. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will integrate thermal analysis solutions into broader engineering designs and projects. You will actively participate in technical reviews, project meetings, and brainstorming sessions, providing technical insights and feedback to drive innovation and progress. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum Qualifications:Requires Bachelor degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical) or in a related technical field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).Typically 2+ years of related experience.Strong understanding of thermal analysis.Basic understanding of vehicle-level analysis and system design.Basic use and application of aerospace principles, standards, theories, first-order analysis, and concepts.Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency with engineering software tools and applications related to thermal analysis such as Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, ANSYS, or COMSOL for thermal analysis and simulation.Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automating thermal analysis tasks and post-processing results.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply new concepts and methodologies in thermal analysis.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in aerospace engineering.Effective teamwork and collaboration skills to work seamlessly within cross-functional teams.Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to technical solutions within thermal analysis projects.Compensation:Pay Range:$94,203.00 - $129,549.75Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.Elevate Your CareerAt Sierra Space, we are committed to your personal and professional development.
