Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Orthopedic/Client Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: Basic arrhythmia knowledge, ability to recognize fatal rhythms Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in an Orthopedic/Client Medical Surgical setting. The position involves working 12-hour night shifts, three times a week, including every other weekend and rotating holidays. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5-6, with nights generally closer to 1:5. Basic knowledge of arrhythmias is necessary, as the role involves recognizing fatal rhythms. The unit is equipped with 21 beds, including private and semi-private rooms. Common patient diagnoses include total joint replacements, spine surgeries, and craniotomies. Nurses will have the opportunity to float to other medical/surgical units as needed. Attendance is critical for this position, and reliable attendance records are expected. Pharmacy and respiratory therapists are available on-site 24/7. The charting system is EPIC.
