Certified Athletic Trainer FT

Job Title Full-time – shifts and days vary. SOB Eligible for experienced candidates (external applicants). Location: Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area – Baptist Health Floyd, Physical Therapy. Job Description The Certified Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services and act as a Physician Extender to orthopedic patients in a clinical setting upon direction from a physician and in accordance with the state athletic training practice act. The role includes maintaining general treatment orders reviewed annually and approved by a physician, acting as liaison among family physicians, specialists, athletes, parents, patients, medical assistants, and physician office staff. The trainer will maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and referrals in the injury tracking and referral electronic health record program, assist in promotional events for the sports medicine program, and cover outside events such as tournaments and races as needed. The Certified Athletic Trainer will also assist in implementing specific therapy interventions under direct supervision of a licensed provider, ensuring safe and competent services for all patients/residents.
