We are looking for applicants that enjoy working with and learning from their peers and are not afraid to jump in and make a difference!This position may be hired at a higher levelResponsibilities will include:Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficientlyBuilds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraintsDevelops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraintsIncorporates complex interdependencies within a system to account for the interaction of multiple cost centers, programs, equipment, and toolsCommunicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teamsWorks with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centersGuides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategiesLeads and drives positive change using iterative and agile methodologiesCreates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performanceComplete time studies and follow through with action items resulting from the studyBasic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer (Level 2): Bachelor's of Science degree with 1 year of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing production environment; OR a Master’s of Science degree with 0 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing production environmentMinimum 1 year of experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications e.g. Excel, Tableau, etc.Minimum 1 year of experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System)Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program AccessAbility to travel at least 10%Basic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer (Level 3): Bachelor's of Science degree with 4 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing production environment; OR a Master’s of Science degree with 3 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing production environment; OR a PHD degree with 0 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing production environmentMinimum 1 year of experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications e.g. Excel, Tableau, etc.Minimum 1 year of experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System)Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program AccessAbility to travel at least 10%Preferred Qualifications:STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree preferredExperience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environmentAt least 2 years of demonstrated experience leading project teamsExperience with SQL, VBA, Python or other programming languagesExperience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, or simulation methodsExperience with agile methods of project management or developmentStrong experience designing visualizations in Tableau in a professional work environmentPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
