Job Summary A Radiology Technologist is required to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with proficiency and maintain the technical quality of images, evaluating radiographs and following protocols established by radiologists. The role involves patient interaction, equipment management, and documentation. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic procedures as required, achieving high film quality. Remain observant for film artifacts and minimize them; clean cassettes as necessary. Document procedures and stat reads according to departmental policies. Obtain patient history as needed; assist radiologist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort. Advise supervisor of items needed from storeroom or vendors. Shut down radiologic equipment and/or reboot computers as required. Qualifications Education: High School Graduate or GED, graduate from an AMA approved radiologic technology program. Experience: Completion of initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by the service line, facility, and department/unit. License & Certifications: ARRT (R) or registry eligible; certified by Texas Department of State Health Services MRT program; current BLS certification.
