Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, requiring ARRT-R certification and an Oregon Radiologic Technologist license.
Details
- Diagnostic Radiology unit
- Evening shift, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Uses PACS system for exam verification
Requirements
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification required
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist license required
- BLS certification required
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by physicians
- Position and instruct patients prior to examinations
- Adjust x-ray equipment voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patient exams
- Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams
- Document exam information and report important findings to physicians
- Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
