Maintenance Technician

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $30-35/hour

Duration: 12-month contract

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, overtime as needed

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to support safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment issues and repair or replace defective components
• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and control systems
• Maintain and repair equipment including forklifts, cranes, lathes, mills, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams
• Use machine shop tools and equipment to fabricate or modify components as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance records within a CMMS system
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and support varying shifts or on-call schedules when required
• Collaborate with maintenance teams, production staff, and engineering personnel to improve equipment reliability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment
• Welding experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in varying conditions
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred
