Structure: 160 Robinson Street Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a collaborative business relationship with the store operations team, including driving associate engagement and communicating department and company strategy to pharmacy associates. Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, in compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Manage the department to build a profitable business and grow script growth through recommended clinical programs, appropriate immunizations, and MTM (Medication Therapy Management) when available; oversee inventory control by tracking weekly sales, ordering pharmaceutical stock, and maximizing profits. Align performance objectives to the seven key department metrics that are measurable for effectiveness and efficiency within the Rx department; provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and offering healthcare counseling. Supervise the work completed by pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff. Direct training, coaching, discipline, and management of all pharmacy associates. Maintain appropriate security of the pharmacy department. Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints, and questions to build customer trust and loyalty. Interact with physicians and utilize reference material to gain information on customers and prescriptions and resolve any arising issues. Assist in maintaining the pharmacy department by keeping it clean and orderly; regularly review ongoing training and development of department personnel to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs. Prioritize pharmacy department tasks and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner, including cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls to customers. Supervisory Responsibilities This position includes the supervision of pharmacists and other pharmacy associates and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Weis Markets policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, disciplining associates, appraising associate performance, and resolving complaints. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy; two (2) years of retail pharmacy experience; Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA) required. Rate of Pay and Benefits The annual salary for this position starts at $94,000 and is up to $155,000.
