Registered Nurse - Oncology

Position Overview Provide direct nursing care in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Implement, monitor, and communicate patient care plans and conditions. Serve as a primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care. Note and execute physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. Requirements Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing before hire. Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross within 1 month of hire. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with valid licensure. Additional Details Work in a 22-bed oncology and medical-surgical unit, caring for cancer patients and those with pneumonia, COPD, CHF, diabetes, and undergoing procedures like biopsies and surgeries.
