The Part-Time CDL Driver plays a vital role in supporting our mission by ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of Club members to and from Club sites, schools, and field trips.This position requires a safety-focused, responsible, and community-minded individual who is dedicated to creating a secure and supportive experience for all youth served.Core ResponsibilitiesTransportationOperate Club vans and buses safely on assigned routes and schedulesTransport members from schools to Club locations and on approved field tripsComply with all traffic laws and organizational driving proceduresSafety & Vehicle MaintenanceConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment)Ensure all passengers are properly secured with seat belts or restraintsMaintain cleanliness of the vehicle (sweep and inspect regularly)Report delays, accidents, or mechanical issues promptlyMember SupervisionAssist members with safe loading and unloadingMonitor behavior and enforce Club rulesReport disciplinary issues to the Club DirectorProvide instruction on safety procedures to membersAdministrative ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate attendance and transportation recordsCommunicate effectively with Club staff regarding schedules and incidents.QualificationsQualifications & RequirementsLicense: Valid driver's license with CDL Class B and passenger endorsement (including air brake certification)Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major violationsAge Requirement: Minimum 21 years oldCertifications: Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certificationsBackground Check: Must pass state and federal background screeningsWorking Conditions and DrivingTypical hours: Monday–Friday, 1:45 PM – 4:30 PMAdditional hours may be required with prior noticeTravel required between Club sites, schools, and field trip locationsMust meet Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale insurance requirementsJob Performance ExpectationsAccountabilityWe uphold punctuality and accountability by consistently meeting deadlines, holding others accountable when needed, and fostering a culture of personal responsibility through transparent communication for continuous improvement.CommunityWe prioritize inclusivity, valuing the needs of our staff, members, and families.
