RN/LPN NEEDED – SCHOOL BUS NURSE

Make a Difference Before the School Day Even Begins! Interim Healthcare is looking for a compassionate RN or LPN to provide one-on-one nursing care for a special needs child while riding the school bus to and from school. This is a rewarding opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference in a child’s day!

* WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide one-on-one nursing care for a child with special healthcare needs
Ride the school bus with the child to and from school
Monitor the child's condition throughout transportation
Provide medications and treatments as ordered
Assist with medical equipment and specialized needs
Respond appropriately to changes in the child's condition
Communicate with the family, school staff, and healthcare team
Help ensure the child has a safe, comfortable, and positive school experience

* WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Current Kansas RN or LPN license
Current BLS certification
Pediatric or home health experience preferred
Experience caring for medically complex children is a plus
Reliable, compassionate, and patient
Comfortable working independently with a child
Strong communication and safety skills
