Overview The Emory Critical Care Post Graduate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2027 cohort. The Emory Center for Critical Care NP/PA post graduate Fellowship is a one‑year training program that teaches fellows to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative and evidence‑based management of complex patients in the intensive care unit. This program attracts new graduates seeking a structured educational program, who want to become experts and leaders in their fieldas well as practicing providers who are interested in critical care medicine. Our program is unique, in that it combines a highly detailed competency‑based curriculum with hands‑on learning in the clinical setting. Rotations incorporate medical, cardiac, general surgical, and neurological ICUs across all Emory Healthcare institutions as well as brief exposures with nephrology, echocardiography and infectious disease services. Fellows will also spend time in the operating room getting hands on training with airway management and endotracheal tubes. Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibility is to learn how to provide top quality critical care in a one-year training environment that contains both hands‑on clinical care learning and didactics. Employee will learn care plans, procedures, managing protocols, rotate through all ICUs (Surgical, Medical, Cardiac and Neuro) learning all aspects of clinical care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of ACNP, AG-ACNP or PA program required. Board certification in given area (NP or PA) required. GA License required for NPs. GA License not required for PAs. BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
