Project EngineerThe IT Project Engineer's role is to analyze and accurately resolve escalated client hardware and software issues in a timely manner. Designing and implementing functional server infrastructures for new customers.Responsibilities include:Server troubleshooting, installations & migrationsSwitch and Router installation & managementBackup systems installation, management, and DR replicationEscalated Technical SupportCustomer on-boarding/Project planningSoftware managementConfiguration/change managementPatch management & TroubleshootingVendor management for troubleshooting purposesDocumentation of technical informationMentor team members on technical issuesMust be flexible with O.T. and shift changesExperience & Required Skills include:Ability to recommend and deploy server infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines while maintaining professionalism and managing stress.Minimum of 7 years' experience managing Active Directory in an enterprise environmentMinimum of 7 years' Network, Server, and Desktop support in an enterprise environmentMicrosoft Certifications/Application Platform experienceCisco, Microsoft, Hyper-V and VMware certifications and experience are strongly preferredExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.Education & Certification include:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 7 years' experienceCompTIA Network+, Security+; Strongly PreferredFortiGate Experience; Strongly PreferredDatto Experience; Strongly PreferredMCSE Server Infrastructure; PreferredSupport Schedule includes:May require ability to work at night, off-hours, holidays, and weekends (on-call rotation).May require emergency on-site support during severe storm mobilization and electric system damage restoration.Physical Requirements include:Lifting and / or exerting of force up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds of lifting/force frequentlySpecial Requirements include:Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.Note: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
