Shipper I

We are currently seeking a Shipper I to join our Distribution team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all picked and checked shipments are processed and shipped according to customer requirements. Shipper I's work under close supervision and actively participate in cross-training to support overall team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Process parcel shipments using our ERP system; label and palletize accordingly.
• Coordinate with Checkers to organize and prepare pallets and large parcel shipments.
• Pick heavy/bulky items from the bulk area and build outbound pallets.
• Prepare Bills of Lading, coordinate with carriers, and schedule pickups.
• Load trucks from dock using proper equipment.
• Maintain inventory of shipping boxes and ensure they are properly stored.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams about order status and priorities.
• Utilize computers to perform basic shipping tasks.
• Follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Obtain and maintain forklift license; operate various forklifts and lifting equipment.
• Move inventory within the distribution center using carts, cherry pickers, forklifts, and mobile stairs.
• Operate various shipping machinery (e.g., stretch wrap machine, tape machine, compactors).
• Meet established productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all HuFriedyGroup policies, including GMP and Lean principles.
• Support team operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or shipping experience a plus but not required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Comfortable using computers and basic software applications.
• Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and a reliable team player.
• Ability to lift/move heavy items and work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and development.
