Discover a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as an Intervention Specialist for K-1st grade in a dedicated resource room setting. This contract-based position is located near Westerville, OH and runs from ASAP through the end of the school year. You'll work with a small group of approximately six students, providing specialized instruction and individualized support in a collaborative educational environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
• Demonstrated experience as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher, preferably with early elementary students
• Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
• Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with fellow educators and families
• Flexibility, patience, and a passion for making a difference in students’ lives

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction and behavioral support to K-1st grade students in a resource room setting
• Develop and adapt curriculum materials to foster academic, social, and emotional growth
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment tailored to students’ individual learning plans
• Monitor student progress and document data to inform instruction and IEP meetings
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure a cohesive educational approach
• Attend school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed

This role follows an 8:10 am – 3:50 pm schedule, including a 30-minute lunch break. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a tight-knit group of students and colleagues.
