Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Dialysis Nurse to provide specialized hemodialysis care in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing dialysis treatments and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver hemodialysis treatment to patients in compliance with clinical protocols.
• Monitor patient status during dialysis sessions, recognizing abnormal ECG rhythms and responding appropriately.
• Connect and disconnect patients from dialysis machines, adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment data and patient progress.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training for dialysis equipment and procedures.
• Complete assessments and pass required competency tests, including ECG recognition and safeMedicate.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 18 months recent permanent dialysis experience.
• Hold an active Ohio or compact state nursing license at the time of submission.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Provide at least one recent manager or supervisor reference from the last 12 months.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments.
• Be willing to work day shifts, including 3x12s or 4x10s, with on-call rotation and every other weekend.
