Inova Behavioral Health supports Inova's overall mission, promoting total wellness—mind and body—by offering a full spectrum of mental health and addiction treatment services to the surrounding Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, metropolitan community. Our extensive continuum of care includes an urgent psychiatric and addiction assessment center (IPAC), inpatient psychiatry, inpatient detoxification, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), outpatient psychiatric appointments and outpatient counseling services. Our unit operates on a three-pronged model of care: trauma‑informed care, patient and family‑centered care, and collaborative problem‑solving (CPS) tools to identify lagging skills while resolving issues and difficulties in a mutually satisfactory way. We have a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team that includes psychiatry, licensed therapists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, and mental health technicians. Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution; board‑eligible or board‑certified in psychiatry. Experience: successful completion of a psychiatry residency program. Licensure: current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia. Payer Credentialing: ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third‑party payors and to be enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor. Medical Staff Credentialing: successful completion of credentialing for medical staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services. Preferred Qualifications One year of experience is preferred.
