A highly respected law firm is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation practice in Dallas, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial disputes involving businesses, corporations, executives, and other stakeholders across a variety of industries.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced litigators on complex cases from inception through resolution. Associates will gain valuable courtroom exposure, participate in strategic case development, and handle substantive responsibilities involving discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

This position rarely opens at this experience level and is actively interviewing qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission

• Take and defend depositions involving fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive litigation documents

• Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and litigation teams

• Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

• Attend mediations and participate in settlement negotiations

• Appear in court proceedings and hearings as appropriate

• Assist with trial preparation and trial execution in complex commercial disputes

• Analyze legal issues and develop persuasive legal arguments

• Conduct extensive legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda

• Manage litigation matters efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on sophisticated business litigation matters

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of commercial or business litigation experience

• Licensed to practice law in Texas

• Strong background handling complex litigation matters

• Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice

• Excellent legal research and writing skills

• Superior academic credentials

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

• Strong organizational and case management capabilities
