Summary of Food Runner Responsibilities:
- Interact with guests and staff to ensure exemplary service in an efficient manner. Work closely with Server Assistants and Servers to ensure guests receive superb service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner with a sense of urgency.
- Promptly run food in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ensure guest expectations have been met and naturally exceeded.
- Uphold and maintain superior quality customer service and hospitality.
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of significant issues and take prompt corrective action.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working atmosphere.
- Work as a team to ensure all facets of the restaurant are kept clean, safe and organized.
Job Qualifications:
- Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in a company-approved uniform.
- Walk or stand most of the 6-hour shift.
- Must be able to read menu items and speak English.
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and perform cleaning duties.
- Must be able to calmly respond to agitated guests and notify a Manager immediately if the matter cannot be corrected in a timely manner.
- Must be able to clearly communicate guest needs to other employees including bussers, servers, and Manager.
