Lillian’s Petite Market & Eatery is looking for a Line Cook to join Chef Todd Garrigan and our culinary team on Charleston’s West Side.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a cook who takes pride in their work, cares about the details, respects the ingredients, and understands that a great kitchen depends on the entire team.

You don’t need to know everything on day one. A good attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team are our top priorities.

Our standards are high and consistency matters. We also believe in teaching people, developing talent, and creating opportunities for team members who want to grow.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Prepare and execute dishes according to recipes, portions, and plating standards

Maintain your mise en place and come prepared for service

Work with urgency, organization, and attention to detail

Treat ingredients with care and respect

Communicate and work collaboratively with the entire culinary team

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe station

Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Help ensure that every plate leaving the kitchen meets Lillian’s standards

Jump in where needed—we succeed as a team

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Previous professional kitchen experience preferred

A great attitude and strong work ethic

Reliability and professionalism

Attention to detail and consistency

Ability to stay focused and composed during busy services

A genuine desire to learn and improve

Teamwork is a must

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability

An interest in ingredients, technique, and becoming a stronger cook
