Irrigation Technician (Roseville)

Description Irrigation Tech Level I applies knowledge of irrigation systems to assist with routine monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and seasonal maintenance tasks. This role works under general supervision and follows established procedures to ensure proper system operation. Job Summary The best team is strong and efficient. This position focuses on monitoring, testing new installations, troubleshooting, and assisting with seasonal tasks to maintain irrigation system reliability. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and test new irrigation installations. Support troubleshooting and repair efforts. Evaluate and optimize pipe and valve placements and help with seasonal system tasks such as start‑ups and winterizations. Participate in routine inspections and help record findings. Support basic system adjustments and minor repairs. Education and Experience 0–1 year of productive experience in the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems. A valid driver’s license. Knowledge of trenchers, multi‑meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing. Bilingual in Spanish. Ability to create and read site map‑colored charts/legends. Physical Demands / Requirements Able to perform medium work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds constantly to move objects. At least 18 years old (21 if operating company‑provided vehicles). Strong stamina; able to work outdoors in varied weather including extreme heat and cold. Able to safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers. Ability to bend, twist, and use a variety of hand tools continuously during the day. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle performance standards for those operating BrightView fleet vehicles. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays. Must carry any required medications for known allergic reactions. Work Environment Work both outdoors and indoors in moderate to extreme temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight. Work in proximity to automotive traffic, water bodies, fumes, dust, and mechanical or electrical hazards. Exposed to loud noise, allergens such as pollen, ragweed, insects, and reptiles. Compensation Pay Range $27,000 – $31,000 per year.
