Immediate opening for a  Procurement Specialist in  Redlands, CA who possesses:

• 1 to 2 years of previous ordering and inventory control experience with a large number of SKUs preferred
• Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and analytical data sets
• Fast and accurate data entry skills with strong 10-key ability

FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support inventory ordering, vendor coordination, cycle counts, supplier tracking, and inventory control in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for preparing weekly inventory orders, monitoring stock levels, balancing supply and demand, maintaining supplier records, and identifying opportunities to better manage costs across supplies and vendor services. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, strong math aptitude, and the ability to work accurately with inventory data and a large number of SKUs.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Prepare and manage weekly inventory orders with vendors
• Direct and oversee cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
• Monitor inventory levels — including minimum, maximum, and safety stock — and recommend adjustments to
• Track supplier performance, ensuring on-time delivery of products that meet specifications
• Maintain records of supplier meetings to monitor compliance with company standards
• Balance material supply and demand by analyzing current inventory, forecasting future needs, and scheduling shipments to minimize stockout risk
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities across supplies and vendor services

• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication, including professional email etiquette and solid grammar
• Strong mathematical aptitude
• Fast, accurate data entry skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• A self-starter mentality with the initiative to solve problems independently
• Comfort and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
• Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday
• Ability to review inventory reports, supplier records, spreadsheets, purchase orders, and computer screens for extended periods
• Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, 10-key entry, filing, and standard office tasks
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office as needed
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard office files, documents, or supplies

Salary Range: $33.80/hour
