Working Title Annual Giving Associate Classification Title Advancement Professional II Position Summary The Annual Giving Associate performs project coordination, operational, and programmatic work in support of the University’s annual giving efforts. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving (AVP), this position executes and coordinates annual giving activities in collaboration with the Senior Annual Giving Officer, the Leadership Annual Giving Development Officer, and Athletics Annual Giving. The Associate focuses on campaign coordination, data management and reporting, donor stewardship, and operational execution to ensure successful implementation of fundraising campaigns and donor engagement activities. Responsibilities include producing solicitation materials, managing campaign workflows, maintaining data and reporting systems, and coordinating donor communications in accordance with established procedures, policies, and institutional guidelines. The role works independently on day-to-day assignments while following established practices and implements strategies developed by senior advancement staff. FLSA Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation) Anticipated Hiring Range $5,274 per month ($63,288 annually, Step 1) – $5,488 per month ($65,856 annually, Step 3) Salary Grade/Range $5,274 per month ($63,288 annually, Step 1) – $7,684 per month ($92,208 annually, Step 20) Recruitment Type Regular (Probationary) Time Base Full-Time Pay Plan 12 months Work Hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Hours may vary depending on department needs) Department Information University Advancement collaborates closely with faculty, staff, alumni, and communities nationwide to support and elevate key projects and initiatives. Initiative areas include higher education access, innovation centers, and fostering meaningful progress. Minimum Qualifications Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience demonstrating acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience in administrative, communications, project coordination, or customer service roles, preferably in a nonprofit, academic, or mission-driven environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, track details, and meet established deadlines with accuracy and consistency. Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and manage operational workflows, including establishing schedules, maintaining records, tracking progress, and executing program or project logistics. Analytical skills to review data, identify discrepancies, organize information, and produce routine reports to support operational and program needs. Effective written and verbal communication skills to produce routine correspondence, acknowledgments, and administrative materials, and to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism. Ability to follow detailed guidelines, procedures, and instructions while working independently and ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and practices. Proficiency with standard office software and tools, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, calendaring systems, and the ability to learn and use advancement or database systems. General knowledge of fundraising, advancement, nonprofit, or donor engagement concepts, including annual giving and donor stewardship, or the ability to develop this knowledge on the job.
