The Staff Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the professional growth and clinical competencies of nursing and healthcare staff within Cherry Brook Health Care Center. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that align with current healthcare standards and regulatory requirements. The coordinator ensures that staff are well-prepared to deliver high-quality patient care, with a focus on mental health, infection control, and case management. Ultimately, the Staff Development Coordinator serves as a key resource for continuous learning and professional excellence in a dynamic healthcare environment and ensuring compliance. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 3 years in a skilled nursing home setting. Demonstrated knowledge of competency content and ability to facilitate educational in-services while tracking compliance at 100%. Strong communication skills sufficient to effectively educate and engage diverse healthcare staff. Experience in developing and delivering staff training or educational programs. Preferred Qualifications Nursing license or other health care certification. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers and computer programs. Experience with being educator. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive training programs for nursing and healthcare staff to enhance skills and knowledge. Assess staff educational needs through performance evaluations, feedback, and regulatory changes to tailor development initiatives accordingly. Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to integrate mental health, infection control, and case management principles into educational plans. Monitor and ensure compliance with nursing licensure requirements and healthcare regulations through ongoing education and documentation. Lead initiatives that promote leadership development and professional growth opportunities within the healthcare and social services teams.
