Details Float pool position within a hospital's Med/Surg Tele unit Potential to float to additional units caring for the same patient population, including the ED Day/Night rotating shift schedule (3x12 hours), with shifts subject to change based on hospital operational needs 20-week assignment providing winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also accepted Required to work at least every other holiday Requirements Active Ohio RN license or compact license required, must be in hand BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross) 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required (travel experience accepted) Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted) Additional Information Provide direct patient care within the Med/Surg Tele float pool, supporting multiple units as needed Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff must wait 1 year from their end date before returning Two attempts are allowed to pass the ECG and safeMedicate assessments during orientation American Traveler Job ID P-739650.
