Role Overview As an electrical engineer you will own the design, manufacturing, and integration of the embedded electronics that power our next-generation flight systems and ground support equipment. As an early to mid-career engineer, you will have an opportunity to build from fundamentals and learn a wide variety of skills in a startup environment. You’ll work closely with flight software, mechanical, GNC, and manufacturing teams to deliver best in-class electronic systems. Key Responsibilities Own the design and manufacturing processes for custom harnesses Support design of embedded avionics systems including power, compute, sensing, actuation, and communication subsystems Act as the primary point of contact for any manufacturing issues on electrical assemblies Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, component placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing of digital, analog, RF, and power conversion of printed circuit boards (PCB) Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs Own schematic design, component selection, PCB layout, and design review Manage board-level bring-up, debugging, and validation in lab and field test environments Guide board-level manufacturing, testing, and assembly processes (both in-house and external vendors) Establish test procedures for validation, environmental, and EMC/ESD qualification Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Strong experience with Altium Designer or similar CAD system (KiCad, EAGLE, Cadence) Experience with high-speed digital electronics, embedded microcontrollers, RF components, power electronics, digital buses (CAN, SPI, UART, I2C), sensor integration 1-5 years of experience designing, building, and testing embedded electronics for aerospace, defense, robotics, or automotive systems Proficiency in schematic capture, layout (Altium), and board-level signal and power integrity design Familiarity with environmental design constraints including thermal, EMI/EMC, shock, and vibration Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent experience in avionics or high-reliability hardware systems Proven experience delivering complex, multi-board avionics or embedded systems from concept to production Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson platforms, STM32, RP2040, or other aerospace-class embedded systems Experience in design-for-manufacture and supply chain planning for high-mix, low-volume aerospace production Experience with rapid prototyping, in-house assembly, and validation test campaign.
