Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to starting

Description: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Telemetry test must be passed prior to starting. Minimum experience includes inpatient RN travelers with two years of acute care in the specialty. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience is required. Charting system experience with Epic is necessary. Required skills include accessing/managing ports, bariatric surgery, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, bowel obstruction management, central line blood draw, and chest tube management. Additional required skills include colostomy/ileostomy management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, heparin and insulin management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, and IV insulin protocols. Experience with telemetry monitoring is necessary. Skills in wound care and vac management, tracheostomy care, and renal failure management are essential. Travelers are required to float as needed. Pass/fail testing is required for telemetry with strict criteria. The exam includes lethal rhythm identification and must be passed with a score of 80% or higher in two attempts. If the traveler fails the second attempt, they must provide proof of completing a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is allowed. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
