Senior Payments Strategy Consultant

The Fountain Group, national staffing firm, is currently seeking a Senior Payments Strategy Consultant for a prominent client of ours. This position is 100% Remote. Details for the position are as follows:

Contract of 6 months, with potential extensions.
Location: Remote
Pay range is $300-$416/hr (based on experience)

• We are seeking an experienced contract consultant to provide strategic guidance, structure, and execution support as we establish a new merchant services relationship with a commercial bank (e.g., acquiring/sponsorship, settlement, and processing model) for debit card acceptance, and eventually adding credit card acceptance.
• This individual will help define the target operating model, lead key workstreams with internal stakeholders and external partners, and ensure the relationship is set up in a way that preserves optionality for a future direct relationship with payment gateways/processors.
• This is a contract engagement suited for a senior payments professional with deep experience across merchant acquiring, bank sponsorship, gateway/processor integrations, card network rules, settlement/reconciliation, disputes, PCI, risk/compliance, operating model design, and vendor/contract strategy.

Required skills:

• Commercial Bank experience
• Gateway experience
• Repayments experience
• 15-20 years ideal experience preferred, no less than 7 years)
