Responsibilities

• Implement tailored speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Forge collaborative relationships with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to construct cohesive care plans.
• Deliver educational resources for patients and their families to bolster ongoing progress outside therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless care during the therapeutic process.
• Maintain detailed and prompt documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Pursue ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay up to date with the latest advances in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
