RN - ICU

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse to provide care to critically ill patients. The RN will be responsible for managing patients with respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, multisystem organ failure, and other complex medical conditions in a high acuity MICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Administer medication and manage treatments as prescribed.
• Perform essential procedures, including bedside central line placements and rapid sequence intubation.
• Manage ventilator settings for patients requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to telemetry units as necessary based on patient census.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience preferred.
• Current and valid RN license (Compact license required).
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and manage dysrhythmias.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
