Job Summary:
This position is for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role involves providing high-level patient care in a dynamic environment, including floating between multiple specialized ICUs and inpatient floors as needed. The nurse will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients across various critical and non-critical units, following established clinical protocols and standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, and OCN; valid Missouri or compact state nursing license at the time of submittal; 2 years of ICU experience; experience charting in EPIC; ability to float to inpatient floors and non-critical care units; active experience with patient ratios of 2:1 on ICUs; no experience limitation for float assignments to inpatient floors with ratios of no more than 1:3.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hemodynamic interpretation including Swan-Ganz (Swan), Impella, or ECMO; knowledge of vasoactive medication management; proficiency with special procedures such as CVP lines, medication titrations, and advanced monitoring like ICP and PA lines; experience with trauma level I or II units; previous travel or hospital experience in a critical care setting.
• Additional Information: This position requires flexibility to float across various ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units. The role involves participating in a holiday rotation, working every other weekend with at least 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted. All travel compliance and licensing requirements must be met prior to start.
