We are looking for a creative, dynamic, highly motivated, and self-starter Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this 100% onsite role, you will be an integral part of our team to analyze, design, and develop various systems in the field of PCB rework equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Ownership: Take primary ownership of multiple concurrent design projects within a team-based product development environment.
• Mechanical Design: Apply machinery principles, material selection, and manufacturing methods to ensure designs are functional, practical, economical, and satisfy customer requirements.
• DFM/DFA: Design for feasibility, manufacturability, and maintainability across all product lines.
• Testing & Validation: Plan and execute effective component- and system-level experimentation to verify and validate engineering designs against product requirements.
• Documentation: Prepare clear, concise technical documentation, including drawings, inspection and test requirements, calibration procedures, and work instructions.
• Reporting & Collaboration: Prepare engineering reports, concept presentations, design reviews, and project updates for leadership and key stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Customer Support: Participate in occasional travel to customer sites worldwide (approx. 5%) for concept discussions, technical reviews, or troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 0–3 years of experience in the mechanical design of multi-disciplinary systems.
• CAD Proficiency: Competent-to-proficient skills in SolidWorks (Creo or Inventor experience is also acceptable).
• Engineering Principles: Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Manufacturing Processes: Practical experience with machining, sheet metal fabrication, and 3D printing/additive manufacturing.
• Product Lifecycle: Understanding of the stage-gate product development process and overall product lifecycle.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Legal Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the US and pass a complete background check and pre-employment drug test.

Preferred / Non-Essential Skills

• Experience with PDM systems.
• Experience in FEA and CFD simulation tools.
• Exposure to or experience in automation controls.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently communicate and exchange information in a team environment.
• Ability to constantly operate standard office and industrial equipment, and work in a stationary position.
• Ability to occasionally move items up to 25 pounds.
• Comfort working with various hand tools in a hands-on technical environment.
