City of Naples Job Posting

The City of Naples is seeking candidates for a position in Public Works - Equipment Services. The salary range for this position is $25.20 - $39.04 hourly. The job is located at 380 Riverside Circle, Naples, FL and is full-time.

The main duties of this position include:

• Performing preventative maintenance, repair, rebuilds, and overhauls of fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Overhauling and servicing assemblies and accessories.
• Diagnosing, repairing, and/or replacing electrical/electronic control systems, cooling systems, transmissions, starting and charging systems.
• Road testing vehicles to ascertain repair effectiveness.
• Performing preventive maintenance according to assigned schedules.
• Responding to emergency calls when city vehicles experience mechanical difficulties and performing necessary roadside repairs.
• Fabricating parts, body components and accessories.
• Maintaining work order records concerning diagnosis, repair/service performed, and parts and supplies used.

Minimum qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED and Vocational/Technical Certification in Automotive Repair or related field.
• Two (2) years progressively skilled experience in service and repair of automotive vehicles and equipment.
• Valid Florida driver's license, class "B" and a driving record which meets or exceeds minimum City driving standards.
• Additional certifications may be required.
