Overview When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means. Bartenders are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. This position offers opportunity for casual conversation, creativity and allows for building on one's style and previous bartending experiences. Preferred candidates will have understanding of state and local serving guidelines. Qualifications Guest‑first mindset — A true desire to anticipate and satisfy guest needs in a fast‑paced environment. Refined communication — Clear, confident, and engaging verbal skills. Physical stamina — Ability to lift and carry moderate weight throughout the shift. Age & experience — Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of one year of relevant bartending or service experience. Beverage knowledge — Familiarity with cocktails, beer, and wine; ability to prepare drinks to spec. Safety & sanitation — Commitment to responsible alcohol service and adherence to all procedures and policies. Team collaboration — Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills. Schedule & Pay 4:30pm to close — weekend availability required.
