Schedule: 40+ hours / week - Day shift 

About the Opportunity:

We have urgent needs for multiple Ion Implant trainers for our semiconductor client north of NYC. The position can be a full-time contractor, part-time contract, or a direct salaried employee of our client. For a contractor traveling to the area part-time, lodging and travel expenses will be taken care of. 

We are seeking an experienced Ion Implant Training Resources to support tool-specific training and knowledge transfer at a leading semiconductor manufacturing facility in East Fishkill, NY. This role is ideal for a subject matter expert who can train, mentor, and upskill operators and technicians on ion implant equipment across one or more industry-standard platforms.

AMAT/Varian:

• VIISta 810 EHP/XPT (Medium Current)
• VIISta 80HP, HCP/HCS/Trident (High Current)
• 9003D (MEHD2)

Axcelis:

• HE3
• Purion EXE (High Energy)
• Purion H200 (MEHD)
• Purion M (Medium Current)

What You'll Do:

• Deliver hands-on and classroom-style training to operators/technicians on ion implant tool operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Develop and/or refine training materials, SOPs, and qualification checklists specific to the tool set(s) above
• Support tool qualification, certification, and skills-matrix development for implant technicians
• Partner with process engineering and equipment engineering teams to align training content with current fab specifications and safety protocols
• Mentor technicians through practical, on-tool scenarios to build proficiency and independence
• Provide input on best practices, preventive maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting methodology
• Support audits or documentation reviews related to training compliance

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

Min 2 years of semiconductor machine training experience, ideally with the tools listed above on AMAT/Varian or Axcelis ion implant platforms. They will consider less training experience with extensive machine maintenance experience. Experience should include: 

• Strong understanding of ion implantation process fundamentals (medium current, high current, high energy, MEHD)
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor technicians effectively, with strong communication skills
• Familiarity with fab safety standards, SEMI standards, and change control processes a plus

What Sets You Apart:

• Prior training and/or machine maintenance experience in a 300mm semiconductor fab environment 
• A history of being an Ion equipment maintenance technician or engineer, then a trainer on those machines
