Avionics Software Engineer

Summary: Greenfield Engineering is seeking Junior Computer Scientist will perform a variety of tasks ranging from developing and debugging code to designing system architectures. Tasking will include the development of Windows based applications and various real time avionics command and control programs. The applicant must have knowledge of Objected Oriented C, C++ and C# programming. The applicant should be familiar with object orientation concepts and software development principals. Working knowledge of MS Visual studio development environment for C# and .Net is required. Ada Language experience is a plus. Working knowledge with networking and network protocols is also a plus. A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electrical, electronics or computer engineering from an accredited school is required. 1 to 3 years' experience required.

Qualifications: A qualified incumbent would at minimum possess the following skill sets:

• Familiarity with Object Orientation
• C/C++ or Java Programming languages
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• MS Visual Studio development environment
• Interpersonal Skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using C++, Java, and .NET within Visual Studio.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement network protocols and computer networking solutions.
• Participate in software development lifecycle activities, including testing and debugging.
• Stay updated on quantum engineering advancements to integrate relevant technologies into projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure optimal performance of applications.

Security Clearance Required: Secret

Telework: This position is not eligible for reoccurring telework, and will require an onsite presence at the Software Support Activity for greater than or equal to 90% of the work week.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or computer science from an accredited college or university. (REQUIRED)

Experience: JUNIOR: A Junior level person within a labor category has less than three (3) years' experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a BA/BS degree. A Junior level person is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
