Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary students in a resource classroom setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction to kindergarten through 5th grade students with mild to moderate disabilities, nurturing their academic and social growth through individualized approaches. With around 20 students on the caseload, you’ll provide essential direct instruction in coordination with general education teachers.
Key Qualifications
- Valid Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Certification
- Mild to Moderate Certification required
- Experience working with elementary-age students preferred
- Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered education
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20 students, ensuring their unique needs are met
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in resource classroom settings
- Develop and implement IEP goals, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with families, support staff, and classroom teachers to foster student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning discussions
