We're hiring an Aircraft Refueler — someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty to support daily ramp operations in a fast-paced aviation environment. This is a physically active role responsible for safely servicing aircraft, operating ground support equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service. Weekend shifts may be required after training.As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and 8-12 hour schedules. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work any shift based on operational needs.Overtime—both scheduled and unscheduled, including holidays—may also be required.Duties/Responsibilities:Safely fuel and defuel aircraft in accordance with FAA and ATA 103 Standard, company, and industry standardsTest and calibrate fuel components, company special tools, and ground equipment per maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and Ascent Aviation policies and proceduresMonitor bulk fuel storage: receiving, dispensing, inventory, and quality controlMaintain fuel farm and truck inspection records: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annualPerform aircraft fuel sales to company, customer, military, and transit aircraftFuel and operate ground support equipment (GSE)Inspect fuel systems and identify leaks or discrepanciesTest fuel samples prior to all defuel operations before transferring to truck or fuel farm systemConduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of equipment and vehiclesMaintain cleanliness and organization of ramp areas and workspacesFollow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and operational standardsRespond efficiently and professionally during high-traffic and time-sensitive operationsPerform miscellaneous duties related to aircraft fuel systems, including annual filter changes and hose replacementsMarginal Job Functions:Ensure customer requirements and needs are metEscort and assist with parking of incoming aircraftSupport DOD aircraft by loading, unloading, and providing GSE supportProvide aircraft services including baggage handling, lavatory service, maintenance services, and forklift assistanceProvide taxiway upkeepAssist personnel crossing active runway using radio communicationSafe-keeping rental cars for customersConduct runway and taxiway inspections, including FOD pickup and sweeping • Marshal, park, and reposition aircraft safely on the rampYou Will Get More Than Just Compensation:•401K with company matchMedical/Dental/Vision InsuranceDisabilityPTOLife and Accidental Death InsuranceDevelopment and Career Growth OpportunitiesEAPRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability to organize and plan work while adhering to deadlinesWorking knowledge of aircraft refueling techniquesStrong attention to detail and solid mathematical skillsAbility to read, write, and understand the English languageAbility to follow both verbal and written instructionsAbility to safely drive and operate a standard shift vehicle and other applicable equipmentAbility to work independently or with minimal supervisionEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCurrent valid Arizona driver's license with a clear driving record for the past three years requiredPost-secondary education or training in aircraft refueling or airport support operations preferredExperience in aircraft refueling preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. unassisted.Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Equipment Operated:•Protective equipment required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, apron, gloves, safety harness, breathing equipment.Working Conditions:The work location will include aircraft maintenance hangars, the flightline, and Avionics shop.Potential hazards include exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges and radar waves, materials identified on the Safety Data Sheets, and working around moving machinery.Other Duties:May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.SMS Requirements:Employees are responsible for performing their duties in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
