Business Operations is embedded in daily operations, supporting both near-term execution and long-term planning. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations and to lead cross-functional decision-making and implementation of the recommendations. Starlink Business Operations is lean and dynamic, operating with a fluid structure that favors high agency. We expect high performers to expand their scope across the program's most critical bottlenecks.Responsibilities:Own global S&OP (sales & operations planning) for specific hardware products to convert hardware into active, happy, paying customersAnalyze key performance indicators, especially active subscribers, network utilization, produce-to-activate latency, inventory turnover, and hardware unit economics (CAC, payback period); includes developing complex S&OP models and decision-making toolsTranslate analysis into strategic insights and hardware mix strategy to accelerate hardware adoption, maximize lifetime value, and minimize working capitalOrchestrate global supply allocation and demand forecasting by synthesizing complex demand signals against dynamic, geographically specific network capacity constraints, working directly with network engineeringDrive resource planning for specific verticals, including the execution of critical hardware ramp and sunset plans in close collaboration with hardware & manufacturing engineeringEnable and accelerate go-to-market execution for products post-licensing and certification to ensure zero-latency deploymentIdentify initiatives for improvement of Starlink's operational trajectory, including developing, tracking, and executing business initiatives with SpaceX's leadershipBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, data science, physics, or business4+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, product management, operations, FP&A, consulting, banking, or entrepreneurship2+ years of experience in Excel or programmingPreferred Skills and Experience:Evidence of exceptional ability, especially within an ambiguous environmentQuantitative dual degree in engineering field and economics or business field and/or equivalent professional experienceDemonstrated success driving tangible impact/influencing within a broader organizationExtreme sense of urgency and ownership; bias toward action and automationAbility to read and interpret income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsStrong proficiency in SQL and Python; ability to handle large datasets independentlyExcellent analytical modeling skills (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Looker)Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior business leadersAdditional Requirements:Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as neededWillingness to travel to customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and events as neededITAR Requirements:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
