Fixed Asset Accountant

Fixed Asset Accountant Opportunity Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to join their client's dedicated team in Nevada. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the fixed asset ledger and related accounting records. Record asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and retirements. Monitor and track capital expenditures (CapEx) and construction-in-progress (CIP) projects. Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization entries. Prepare fixed asset account reconciliations and supporting schedules. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Review and analyze asset activity to ensure proper classification and capitalization. Coordinate and perform periodic fixed asset inventories and physical asset verifications. Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to capital expenditures. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Prepare reports related to fixed assets, depreciation, and capital spending. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience; fixed asset accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles. Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, or similar. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Skills Experience with fixed asset management software. Knowledge of CIP accounting and capital project accounting. Experience supporting audits and financial reporting. Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments. Work Hours Monday - Friday, 1st Shift Compensation Salary range is $28.85 - $31.25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
