About the Role:

MONTESOL MEDICAL CENTERS LLC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our growing team in West Palm Beach, FL. Responsibilities:

• Process and manage patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely authorization and scheduling
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations as required by payers
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and specialist offices to coordinate care transitions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Follow up on pending referrals and authorizations to prevent delays in patient care
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding referral status in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with managed care guidelines

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in medical referrals, prior authorization, or healthcare administration
• Familiarity with insurance verification, managed care, and HMO/PPO referral processes
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and medical office software
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ICD/CPT coding basics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the South Florida market
