Maintenance Technician I

Maintenance Technician IAs a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Duties include preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment as needed.Responsibilities:Participate in all safe start meetings.Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsFollow 5S standards to maintain work area.Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.Perform regular preventative maintenance based on PM schedule.Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operationComplete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.Trained to set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools.Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsAssists with the installation of new production equipment and required infrastructureRead and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructionsOther duties as required.Experience and Skills:HS Diploma or equivalent preferredRelated degree from a technical college, a plus1 year of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or internship while attending technical college preferredSkills & Abilities:Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenanceProficient with hand and power toolsAbility to read and use tape measureGeneral mechanical knowledgeGeneral electrical knowledgeAbility to work occasional nights and weekendsAbility to use respirators (will have to be clean shaven on occasion)Ability to working at heights in aerial liftAbility to work outdoors in climate (hot/cold)Ability to troubleshootAbility to read and understand written instructions and manualsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficientlyAbility to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Average proficiency in mathematicsGood visual acuityCompetencies:SafetyTeamworkCommunicationCustomer FocusIntegrity & TrustSafety OrientedAdaptabilityAccountabilityAttention to DetailThe Benefits:Medical, dental, vision benefits the first day of the month after hire Market-leading 401(k) program with company match 10 paid holidays per year and PTO accrual plan Paid Parental Leave Paid Sick Leave 100% tuition reimbursement Career development and advancement opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
