Design network solutions: Configure and deploy complex network solutions based on business requirements Create network plans: Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to develop network architecture plans, including LAN, WAN, and data center networks Support network upgrades: Implement network changes and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services Collaborate internally: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the organization's network infrastructure Provide technical solutions: Think strategically and tactically to provide highly effective technical solutions that solve business problems, tools that function according to network needs Process improvement: Continually look for ways to automate manual tasks and produce solutions to common issues to improve overall Network Service Lead projects: Begin to develop strong leadership skills on various projects and initiatives of any complexity, size, and scope, which includes assisting with project-related decisions and tasks as well as delegation and documentation of project work Perks you will enjoy! Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent preferred 3-5 years’ experience in network engineering, with a focus on network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support required In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, MPLS, VPNs and SDWAN required Strong understanding of network security principles and experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network access controls required Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark, SolarWinds) required Experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Silver Peak, Palo Alto etc. required Caleres is an Equal Opportunity Employer by choice.
