Retail Receiving Support Associate, Montgomery Mall - Part Time Bethesda, MD, United States Part‑time schedule. Hourly rate: $17.65 – $19.51 (based on job, location, and schedule). Job Description As a Receiving Colleague, also known as a Back‑of‑House Colleague, you will be responsible for managing the flow of merchandise into our stores. Your role ensures that products are received, processed, and made available for sale in a timely and efficient manner, while also maintaining merchandise within the store and overseeing stockroom maintenance. We seek flexible team players who thrive in a fast‑paced environment, can multitask, and are willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. What You Will Do Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance. Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks, unpack vendor boxes, and remove packaging. Sort and organize merchandise by type, size, or category; label and tag items for easy identification. Complete all processing and receiving activities in accordance with productivity standards, timelines, and inventory‑control procedures. Transfer merchandise from receiving to stockroom or sales floor; assist merchandise team with fixture and product placement. Pick and pack merchandise for shipping or in‑store pickup orders; follow packing policies. Retrieve “Buy Online Pickup In‑Store” (BOPS) orders from back‑of‑house storage and deliver them curbside to customers. Collaborate with teammates to meet department goals and maintain a positive work environment. Foster an inclusive atmosphere that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities. Who You Are Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Excellent communication skills with diverse groups of customers and peers. Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing/walking. Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment. Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision. Lifting, constant moving, standing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
